Public Notice – December 23, 2021
Labrador-Grenfell Health is advising the public that beginning December 27, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. there will be no physician on-site at the White Bay Central Health Centre in Roddickton Bide-Arm until further notice.
During this time, residents may continue to access care at the health centre:
- The Regional Nurses will continue to provide on-site care 24 hours a day.
- The Nurse Practitioner will continue to provide virtual care Monday to Friday.
- For urgent and emergent issues, Registered Nurses will be supported virtually by the Emergency Department at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony.
In the event of a medical emergency, residents can call 9-1-1 for immediate assistance.
Labrador-Grenfell Health is working to secure a long-term locum physician to start early in the New Year and is actively recruiting for an additional temporary full time Nurse Practitioner to work Monday to Friday.
Labrador-Grenfell Health is committed to improving access to primary health care and will continue to partner with our community advisory council and local improvement team to plan for plan for primary health care delivery in the area.
