PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Improvements to Labrador-Grenfell Health medical transportation beginning July 1, 2019

Labrador-Grenfell Health is pleased to announce that beginning July 1, 2019, the authority will be improving access to health services to communities in rural coastal Labrador through enhanced air transportation.  

 This improvement will consist of a dedicated aircraft for routine transportation (Schedevac) and a dedicated aircraft for medical emergency transportation (Medevac) which will reduce delays that may occur with a combined service. The Schedevac service will maintain its regular operating hours.   

 Labrador-Grenfell Health looks forward to continuing our work to improve the delivery of health services to meet the needs of our population.
