Public Notice – June 15, 2021
Labrador-Grenfell Health is advising the public that 10,000 additional COVID-19 vaccines will be available within the region between June 21 and June 30, 2021.
On June 2, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador released Together Again: Reopening Newfoundland and Labrador. The plan provides an overview of the phased approach that will be taken to reopen the province beginning as early as July. To promote increased uptake of Dose 1 and Dose 2 vaccines before the reopening, Labrador-Grenfell Health is offering 10,000 additional doses across the region.
During this time clinics will be offered at the following locations:

Flower’s Cove Strait of Belle Isle Health Centre |

Eligible individuals can book appointments using the following information:
For Dose 1 appointments – Individuals 12 years and older:

For Dose 2 appointments – (for individuals who received dose 1 on or before May 3):
- Online self-registrations
- Click here to book online!
- Select Dose 2 appointment with the “Moderna” vaccine type

Individuals may avail of Moderna or Pfizer regardless of what they had for first dose. Information on interchangeability is available here.

- Not currently available for Dose 2 vaccines.

Labrador-Grenfell Health is following provincial and national guidance on COVID-19 vaccination for priority populations. More information regarding continued implementation will be shared in the coming weeks. While waiting for your opportunity for vaccination, and after vaccination, it is important for everyone to continue to follow public health guidance to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your communities.
This includes:
- Wearing a mask and keeping 2 metres distance;
- Washing your hands frequently;
- Respecting public health guidance on gatherings, travel and quarantine.
- Staying home and calling 8-11 if you feel sick;
