COVID-19 immunizations available for communities of Black Tickle and Norman Bay

Public Notice- January 8, 2021

Labrador-Grenfell Health is advising the public that the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine will be available to individuals 18 years of age and older within the communities of Black Tickle and Norman Bay on January 11, 2021.

Vaccinations will be provided as follows:

·       Black Tickle (by appointment)

January 11, 2021

9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

·       Norman Bay

January 11, 2021

2:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Location – Paul Turnbull’s residence

Individuals are reminded to bring their MCP card and to wear a mask.

Residents who are feeling unwell are asked to stay home and call 8-1-1.

Those who are unable to receive vaccination on this day can arrange an appointment at a later date by contacting:

  • For Black Tickle residents – Black Tickle Community Clinic (709) 471-8872
  • For Norman Bay residents – Charlottetown Community Clinic (709) 949-0259

LGH is following provincial and national guidance on COVID-19 vaccination for priority populations. While you are waiting your opportunity for vaccination, it is important for everyone to continue to follow public health guidance to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your communities.

This includes:

o Wearing a mask and keeping 2 metres distance;

o Washing your hands frequently;

o Respecting public health guidance on gatherings, travel and quarantine.

o Staying home and calling 8-11 if you feel sick;
