E-mental health is mental health services and information delivered or enhanced through the use of the Internet and digital technology.
E-mental health provides high-quality support and services, based on extensive research and best practice. It is not designed, or intended, to replace in-person services, if they are needed or preferred, but instead gives people more options and enhances access to services when and where they are needed.
E-mental health allows individuals to have control over how, and when, to access information and support. It also encourages and allows them to get support early, in order to help minimize the impact of mental health issues on their life and to reduce harm.
E-mental health information and support is available to individuals 24/7 regardless of where they live. To learn more about the e-mental health options available in the province, visit Bridge the gapp, Newfoundland and Labrador’s website for online mental health services and information.
