New Process for Collecting Fees for Non-Insured Services
Non-Insured Services are not covered by the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Care Plan (MCP). Physicians are entitled to payment for the time and resources devoted to the provision of medical information to Third Parties and for providing any Non-Insured services. Clients and parties requesting those service are responsible for paying the corresponding charges.
Effective April 1, 2017, physicians employed by Labrador-Grenfell Health will charge and/or bill their patients or Third Parties directly for these services and invoices will no longer come from Labrador-Grenfell Health. Please feel free to ask any questions and notify the Doctor if paying these fees poses any financial difficulties. Payment should be made directly to the Doctor as indicated by them and will no longer be received by Labrador-Grenfell Health.
