'Pack the Back' to Help Others at Christmastime

Labrador-Grenfell Health staff and their partners are calling on residents of Labrador West, the St. Anthony area and the Happy Valley-Goose Bay area to help them help others. ‘Pack the Back' events are planned to help others less fortunate at Christmastime by filling ambulances with donations of non-perishable food items and unwrapped toys for children.

St. Anthony: Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Volunteers participating in the Santa Claus Parade will collect donations for the Food Bank, Christmas toy drive, and pet shelters. Following the parade, an ambulance parked at the Viking Mall will also accept household/personal care items, toys/books, pet items, and monetary donations.

Happy Valley-Goose Bay: Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Labrador Health Centre. Drop off non-perishable food items for the Food Bank and unwrapped toys (all ages) for the ER Nurses' Happy Tree. Sponsored by Labrador Ambulance Services with support from Labrador-Grenfell Health.

Labrador West: Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, 1:00-5:00 p.m., Walmart location at the Labrador West Mall. Drop off non-perishable food items, children's toys and clothing. Paramedics with Labrador-Grenfell Health will accept all donations and deliver to the Salvation Army for distribution to members of the community who need a helping hand.

Labrador-Grenfell Health proudly supports its employees in this gesture of kindness and goodwill that directly benefits residents of the area. Thank you for your support.
